I’ve been working on this commission of a beautiful cat.
When I received the commission to draw a border terrier I was really excited, not only that, I was asked to draw him twice. One was a gift for christmas and the other a beautiful piece to put in their home.
It was the first time I had to do the same photo twice so I decided to draw them side-by-side. This photo is so cute with his tongue sticking out and I immediately fell in love with him.
This is beautiful Bella, a tiny little poodle I got commissioned to draw as a gift and I had to wait before posting it. I was delighted to receive a thank you card from the owner.
I really love Christmas commissions, they are all done in secret, from arrangement, to previews and delivery. Here is one I did for a fellow dog walker I see most mornings, it was a gift to her husband.
With gifts it is a little sad not to know the reaction of the person when they see it, however I was sent a great video of him opening it. It made my Christmas morning xx
I had the pleasure of drawing these three little Yorkies as a secret gift. You can tell by their expressions that each of them had lots of character.
A detailed drawing of a boxer, made using graphite pencils on Daler Rowney Fine Grain Heavyweight paper, 200gsm and A4 in size.

This is my “boomerang” post as I’m returning after a little time away from blogging. Most of my time has been spent creating pieces for exhibitions and shows (which I will be sharing in the upcoming weeks) I’ve also started and Etsy shop and doing commission work on pet portraits. There are so many things that I want to share… but for now I’ll post my latest pet portrait commission – an absolutely beautiful greyhound called “Queenie”
